Green, Green, Green is the theme of Earth Day, Lake Worth. This free, fun, family event will be filled with arts and crafts, games and prizes for children. Horticulturists, composters, rain barrel experts, solar and wind aficionados will be present to advise and help us move our homes and gardens into Eco-friendly spaces. This day is about saving our planet for future generations.
Earth Day inspires awareness and a desire to protect all that is natural around us. The first Earth Day was observed on March 21, 1970, the first day of spring. Earth Day has become a global event and is now celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.
