WHAT: 5th Annual Empty Bowls Delray Beach
Empty Bowls is a national grassroots event that raises money for hunger relief. This unique event invites the public to “eat simply, so others can simply eat.” Old School Bakery provides rustic breads and 30 local chefs donate their signature soups, all served by local celebrities. Guests share in a simple meal of bread, soup, and water. In an effort to adjust to the “new normal” this year, guests can purchase tickets online and participate in an extraordinary drive-through and online virtual experience. Each ticket provides one pint of soup from local amazing restaurants and fresh baked bread from Old School Bakery, as well as other sponsored goodies in an insulated cooler bag.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Before COVID-19, the Palm Beach County Food Bank provided access to nutritious food for more than 100,000 hungry Palm Beach County residents every month. Now, that demand has more than doubled as more people are left without jobs and income. Last year the Food Bank sourced over 10 million pounds of food annually and provided it to almost 200 local community partners.
