December 10, 2012 (Lake Worth) –As a historic performing arts organization in PBC, the Lake Worth Playhouse is proud to announce its 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee with guest of honor Burt Reynolds.

THE EVENT: An elegant, intimate evening of cocktails, dining, dancing andsilent auction on the historic stage of the Lake Worth Playhouse. With a theme of Decades,talented performers will showcase songs from musicals performed throughout the Playhouse’s history.
GUEST OF HONOR: Mr. Burt Reynolds, a Playhouse success story,is scheduled to return as guest of honor tothe stage where he performed early in his career.As an Oscar®-nominated, Golden Globe award-winning actor, Mr. Reynolds was selected as Favorite Local Celebrity through a contest featured on the Palm Beach Post, topping Donald Trump, Bruce Springsteen and Olivia Newton-John among others.

ABOUT LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE
Lake Worth Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre with a diverse array of offerings, including dramas, comedies, musicals, area premieres, Broadway favorites, children’s shows, ballets and operas on film, live concerts, improv comedy and alternative programming. In addition to its main stage theatrical fare, the Playhouse presents year-round independent and foreign films in the Stonzek Theatre, an intimate black-box style theatre equipped with a large viewing screen and high-definition projection. The Playhouse is proud to offer a variety of educational programs for adults and children, as well as community outreach initiatives that bring cultural programs into the neighborhoods of underserved youth and also make theatre available free of charge for disadvantaged citizens in the community.
