DOWNTOWN AT THE GARDENS MAKES A SPLASH WITH LOGGERHEAD MARINELIFE CENTER
Partnership promotes healthier and cleaner oceans during June’s World Oceans Month

(Palm Beach Gardens, FL) – Downtown at the Gardens will be partnering with Loggerhead Marinelife Center for June’s World Oceans Month, which spotlights the major role oceans have in everyday life. During the month, the nonprofit organization will have a “Pop-Up” space at Downtown, located along the Boulevard next to Hibiscus Beach Kids, that will hold special events and programming to educate the public on threatened and endangered sea turtles as well as the impact of human actions on the ocean.

“Philanthropy and giving back to the community are extremely important to Downtown at the Gardens and ShopCore Properties,” said Erin Devlin, Shopping Center Marketing Manager for ShopCore Properties – owner/managing entity for Downtown at the Gardens. “This month-long partnership with Loggerhead Marinelife Center will not only have educational and fun activities for the entire family, but it will also bring awareness to endangered sea turtles as well as promoting conservation of our oceans’ ecosystems.”

Some of the month’s activities include Breakfast and Dinner with Fletch, Junior Sea Turtle Rescue Class, Story Time, painting classes and more (full calendar listed below the release). In addition, there will be an ongoing Pier Photo Contest Display LIVE on Facebook in the pop-up area and winners will be announced at the World Oceans Day event on June 8, which includes all day activities, interactive exhibits, marine debris sorting station and more. Downtown at the Gardens will also be donating 10 percent of the month’s carousel proceeds to Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

“Just like our world’s oceans connect our continents, Downtown at the Gardens serves as vibrant community ecosystem connecting, entertaining and engaging guests,” said Jack Lighton, President and CEO of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. “We are proud to partner with Downtown to celebrate a month-long partnership and look forward to the educational outcomes from this great event!”
