The Wellington Chamber of Commerce Welcomes
Triple-A Travel and Insurance As New Members

img_5780The Wellington Chamber of Commerce recently had a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Triple-A Travel and Insurance located at 4075 State Road 7, Wellington, Florida.   The company is a not-for profit, tax paying corporation that provides services to its 53 million members in areas such as automotive, insurance, travel, financial, and discounts. Its national headquarters is in Heathrow, Florida and the company employs 40,000 full-time workers throughout North America.  With more than 53 million members this first American automobile organization has proven to be dependable and reliable business within the communities it serves.

The American Automobile Association (Triple-A) was founded on March 4, 1902 in Chicago, Illinois in response to the limited amount of quality roads and highways suitable for automobiles to drive on safely.  It started with nine motor clubs with a total of 1,500 members that joined together to create Triple A.  Today there are 69 clubs throughout North America and 1,100 offices. The history of Triple-A spans more than 100 years dealing with all sorts of projects.  In early days these included some of the first  road maps, hotel guides, driver and pedestrian safety programs,  school safety patrol programs and even serving the government in times of war.  They are a lot more than just a road-side service.

Kathleen Euler is one of the managers at the Wellington location.  When asked about Triple-A and what makes them stand apart from the rest, she said, “We offer many services here in the Wellington branch.  We specialize in insurance products; personal lines and light commercial.  We also offer travel services like tours and cruises.  We always stand behind our Triple A standards; we’re all about customer service.  That’s how the organization was created and we’re carrying that on.  As people are searching on the internet or in other offices looking for services and prices, we make sure that the customers we are serving are receiving the best possible rates.  Besides representing our own company, we represent other companies also.  These are all A.M. Best rated companies so we will look for that very best rate for our client.”

When discussing the travel services her company offers, Euler said that Triple-A travel agents are well traveled and know what vacation places are like first hand.  In addition, members receive tour books which provide ratings on different hotels and events.  The books also identify hotels that are offering discounts.  “It’s a show- your- card and save thing, which is a great benefit all around.”

In the community, Triple-A is the organization that sponsors the crossing guards at the South Florida Fair and has done so for many years.   In addition, the company has a traffic foundation that is non-profit.  Euler said, “When people renew their memberships, part of those funds go to lobbyists that are able to help work towards different laws that we want to have passed most recently the safety belt law.  We are now working on the helmet law trying to get helmets back on motorcyclists and a cell phone texting law prohibiting texting while driving.  We are doing everything we possibly can to make sure people are safe.  That is our foundation.  Customer service and safety that’s what we’re all about.”
