I hope your first few days of 2020 have been wonderful! This month we celebrate the new year with a fun interview with an author. Read “Cultural Corner” this month with “2020…as Unpredictable as Trading Sardines.” See Lori Baumel’s interview with Linda Raschke.
I’m happy to say that Mayor Anne Gerwig will be serving as our mayor of Wellington for 4 more years! Check out her January Mayor’s Column to see what’s going on in the Village of Wellington. We thank Anne for coming to our last mixer.
Speaking of mixers, we hold a networking mixer that’s free and open to the public the first Thursday of each month at Village Music & Café at 6:30pm. So the next one is Feb. 6th, 2020. And we will be celebrating AroundWellington’s 14th anniversary in business! Come for the cake and the connections. Stay for the jazz, which always follows our mixers, by the Wellington Jazz Cats.
We have a new humor writer who’s been entertaining us with his tall tales of his talking cat Berkel. Check out Jon Frangipane’s “Cat Talk” this month.
And Melanie Lewis dedicates this month’s “Mommy Moments” to grandmothers. We had the fun of having my mother in town to visit us for the holidays. There’s nothing like a grandmother’s connection with her grandchildren!
Writer Mike May has been on the move again. He takes us to a scrumptious sounding restaurant in Seattle – Duke’s Seafood. Check out “On the Move with Mike.”
In other delicious news, the Sweethearts take us to a bakery in London this month. They devour a few pastries at the Dominique Ansel Bakery over tea. See Frannie and Dani in action in their video.
