Events are held at 2635 State Road 7, in the Lifestyle Center and are free of charge unless otherwise noted.  Register by phone at 561.904.4000 or at the customer service desk. Refunds, credits, or transfer of classes will not be honored for no-shows or cancellations made fewer than 24 hours before event. All events are subject to change.  Classes with low registration may be cancelled.  Any classes cancelled by Whole Foods Market will be refunded. Space is limited.

Green Week at the Winter Equestrian Festival

Wednesday February 1- Sunday February 5th

Stop by the Ride for a Green World table at the Winter Equestrian Festival to receive informative tips on greening your barn and pick up an organic carrot for your horse while you’re at it.  On February 4th from 11-4 PM, Whole Foods Market will be at the grounds sharing a delicious and nutritious green smoothie for everyone to taste!  For more information about the event, please contact Mary Ann Simonds 360 907-4591. 

 

Local Artist Celebration: Kathy Morlock

Friday, February 3rd 6:30-8:00 PM, $5 Donation/Person

Meet our current Wellington Art Society local artist, Kathy Morlock, and join us as we celebrate her beautiful paintings that are inspired by the natural Florida landscape.  Participants will enjoy live music, wine and cheese tasting as well as a walk with the artist at 7pm where Kathy Morlock will discuss her art on display and answer questions.  One hundred percent of the event entrance fees will benefit the Wellington Art Society Scholarship Fund. Pre-Registration Required @ Customer Service or Call 561.904.4000. Valentine’s Love Bites Cooking Class

Come join Chef Joe and learn how to make treats that are sure to spice up your Valentine’s Day.  Bring your significant other and your appetite to enjoy an afternoon of sweets, treats and samples.  Class size is limited.

 

All Things Sweet Cookie Decorating Competition

Sunday, February 12th at 1:00 PM in our Prepared Foods Department

If you have a sweet tooth and know how to use it, then this competition is for you!  We are looking for 6 sugar lovin’ customers to compete in our first ever cookie decorating competition.  Sign up at the customer service desk to reserve your spot.  Each customer will have 15 minutes to perfect their sweet treat.  All ingredients (including the cookie) will be provided.   First place winner will receive a $50 Whole Foods Market gift card and all participants will receive an extra sweet gift just for playing. Stick around after the customer competition to watch Whole Foods Market Team Members compete for bragging rights and a $50 Gift Card for the winner!

 

Wine Your Valentine

Mom’s Morning Escape & Goddard School Arts & Crafts Corner

Friday, February 17th 9:00-11:00 AM, Free

Registration Required @ Customer Service or Call 561.904.4000

Moms will receive a free mini-massage, coffee or tea, and muffin from the Coffee Bar, while children of all ages can participate in the Goddard School Arts and Crafts Corner.  Please check in at the Customer Service desk to pick up your Mom ’s Morning Escape Voucher, then make your way to the Coffee Bar for breakfast. Also, don’t forget to enjoy a relaxing five minute chair massage by My Massage Corner in the Lifestyle Center (first-come, first-served).  Massage sign-up sheet is located just outside of the Lifestyle Center ).

Health Starts Here Tour and Demonstration

Join our Healthy Eating Specialist for an informative, introductory tour of our Health Starts Here program.  You will learn about our Healthy Eating Principles and how to identify the most nutrient rich foods.  The tour will be followed by a cooking demonstration in the Lifestyle Center, which will utilize nutrient dense ingredients for you to taste.

 

Gluten Free Recipe Makeover

This is not your ordinary Gluten Free class.  Chef Joe is ready for a challenge, but we need your help!  Bring your favorite non-Gluten Free recipe to our Customer Service desk by Saturday February 20th to enter your recipe into the running to be made-over Gluten Free style.  Chef Joe will pick 3 recipes and convert them to Gluten Free versions and demonstrate how to prepare them.  Bring your appetite and questions.  Class size is limited.

 

Block Party: Teams’ Choice!

Tuesday, February 28th 5:30-7:00pm, Free

Experience a new way to shop for dinner.  Enjoy free samples around the store and your chance to vote for your favorite sample.  Teams will create new recipes each week to give you new cooking ideas and to compete for our recycled Earth trophy, so be sure to pick up a ballot in our produce department to cast your vote!  No registration necessary, just come on by!
