TO KICK OFF “WOMEN IN POWER” SPEAKER SERIES

 

PNC’s 2012 Series to Benefit YWCA for Fifth Consecutive Year

 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (December 12, 2011) – PNC Bank, a division of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) announced their “Women in Power” speaker series will benefit the YWCA of Palm Beach County for the fifth consecutive year.  Headlining the opening luncheon of the 2012 series on January 18th will be Gahl Hodges Burt, former Social Secretary to the Reagan White House.

 

PNC’s “Women in Power” speaker series was created in 2007 to raise awareness and support for programs that encourage, promote and provide development for girls and young women in Palm Beach County.  Nationally acclaimed women are brought to the area to present their personal and professional journey to success.

 

“We are intensely committed to building strong communities and helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals,” said Craig Grant, Regional President, PNC Bank.  “We are pleased to offer the ‘Women in Power’ series in Palm Beach County to give local residents the opportunity to meet and hear from prominent women in their respective fields of endeavor from across the country.”

 

In addition to the post of Social Secretary to the Reagan White House, Ms. Burt has held positions in U.S. State Department including personal assistant to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and later Assistant Chief of Protocol.  Other speakers and luncheon dates include noted journalist Laura Ling on February 8th, and best-selling author Jeannette Walls on March 6th.

 

All events take place at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre located at 415 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach. Registration begins at t 11:30 a.m., and the luncheons commence at noon. YWCA of Palm Beach County will handle guest payment and direct all proceeds to fund their programming needs.

About YWCA of Palm Beach County

The YWCA of Palm Beach County is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization that has been in existence since 1917.
