(WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.) Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches (JWF), a West Palm Beach-based nonprofit, has announced Lisa Schreier as its new president and board chair. Schreier has been a trustee of JWF for more than two years.

“We are thrilled Lisa has agreed to serve as our president and board chair,” said Tami Baldinger, CEO of Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches. “We are confident that her leadership experience will be instrumental in helping us raise our next $1 million through our ongoing ‘Imagine the Possibilities’ campaign. Her enthusiasm and passion for our mission and vision is contagious, which we know will help us continue to grow our support and expand our reach.”

Schreier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies. She then received her master’s degree in Epidemiology and Public Health from Yale University, where she focused her studies on maternal and child health. Schreier worked in the public health sector for more than 20 years, including her role as director of provider relations at Children’s Medical Services. A native Floridian, Schreier is married with three children and currently lives in North Palm Beach.

“I am honored to be elected as the board chair for Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches,” said Schreier. “JWF’s mission aligns with my personal beliefs and passions in every single way, so it is truly a perfect match. I look forward to kicking off our annual fundraising efforts at the 2016 ‘Imagine the Possibilities’ luncheon in December, where one of our current grantees will speak about our impact and the need for efforts to support and empower women and girls worldwide.”

Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches is a nonprofit grantmaking and advocacy organization established to improve the lives of women and girls. Guided by Jewish values, JWF advocates for advancing all women and girls and funds projects that have long-term effects for societal change on local, national and international levels by placing an unwavering focus on the root cause of issues. An inclusive organization, JWF welcomes members of all beliefs and genders who believe that when women and girls are empowered, the entire community benefits.

Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches’ annual Imagine the Possibilities luncheon is Thursday, December 15 at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. Special guest and JWF grantee partner Martina Vandenberg, founder and president of the Human Trafficking Pro Bono Legal Center, will speak about her nearly two decades of experience fighting injustice against women.
