Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida returns as presenting sponsor; awards $20,000 grant to the Kids Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida has signed on again to be the presenting sponsor of the 21st Annual Kids Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches that takes place at the Palm Beach County Convention Center on July 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Kids Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches Offers Something for Everyone!
Elementary and Middle school children learn the basics of over 45 traditional and non-traditional sports from the area’s leading instructors. Additionally, they can experience the midway, play games and interact with professional athletes.
South Florida’s interactive youth sports experience, the Kids Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches produced for the last 20 years by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, is anticipating a record turnout for its July 22 and 23 event at the Palm Beach County Commission located on 650 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. RMHC fulfills its mission by creating innovative, effective programs that address targeted needs, and by supporting these programs and other activities conducted by its local Chapters worldwide. RMHC also awards grants to other nonprofit organizations around the world that make immediate, positive impact on the children who need it the most.

Joining RMHC in sponsorship of the Kids Fitness Festival this year is Prime Time Palm Beach County, Inc. Directed primarily at improving the quality of afterschool and out-of-school programs, Prime Time Palm Beach County, Inc. provides opportunities for children and youth to succeed. Prime Time has been a generous supporter of the Kids Fitness Festival over the years and has returned again with a grant to support the youth participating from summer camp programs that do not have the funds to attend the event. Thanks to their funding, several camps from Palm Beach County will be able to attend the Kids Fitness Festival. Additionally, the Richard and Lesley Stone Family Fund has awarded a $5,000 grant to be used for scholarship to support camps’ attendance as well.
The Kids Fitness Festival will be offering the following sports clinics this year: Archery, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Boxing, Cheerleading, Cricket, Croquet, Dance, Fencing, Fitness, Flag Football, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, Lacrosse, Netball, Pickleball, Polo, Powerlifting, Roller Hockey, Rowing, Rugby, Soccer, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, Tennis, Wrestling, Hula-Hoop, Corn Hole, Track & Field, Martial Arts, Quidditch, Yoga, Ping Pong and many more!
It’s not too late to sign up and receive the early registration fee of $12 a day per child. This price is only good until June 17, 2015. After June 17, 2015 the price is $17 per child. The admission fee includes a Kids Fitness Festival backpack and a full day of fun and activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are admitted free of charge and are encouraged to check out all that the festival has to offer!
