Free Events to Help Palm Beach County Residents without Health Insurance June 11-16

 

West Palm Beach, FL (June 1, 2012) – Palm Beach County Medical Society Services announces “Cover the Uninsured Week” being held from June 11-16, 2012.  Residents of Palm Beach County who do not have health insurance are invited to Project Reach Out events being held at various locations.  People who attend Project Reach Out will find out if they are eligible for health care through Medicaid, Health Care District of Palm Beach County programs including Vita Health and Coordinated Care Options 1 and 2, or Project Access. 

 

Project Reach Out is free to residents of Palm Beach County.  People do not need to pre-register.

 

The general public is welcome to attend any of the following Project Reach Out events:

 

Wednesday, June 13, 3pm-5pm, Genesis Community Health Center, 564 East Woolbright Road, Boynton Beach, FL  33435

Friday, June 15, 2pm-5pm, Palm Beach County Medical Society, 3540 Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 101, West Palm Beach, FL  33406

Saturday, June 16, 9am to 1pm, Palm Beach County Medical Society, 3540 Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 101, West Palm Beach, FL  33406

 

Attendees must bring proof of residency in Palm Beach County including one of the following:  driver’s license; picture ID with local address; utility bill with your name on it; passport; or Social Security card (optional).

 

Attendees must bring proof of income including one of the following: 2011 Tax Return filed; detailed bank statements (3 most recent ones); last 8 weeks of paystubs; or unemployment benefits; or detailed letter from financial supporter (signed by them with their contact information).

 

People may also come to register to vote during Friday and Saturday’s events.
