Kravis Center Announces Single Tickets on Sale November 17 for Kravis On Broadway Hit Shows WAITRESS and SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (November 15, 2018) The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce that single tickets for the next series of sensational smash hit Kravis On Broadway performances will be available to the public on Saturday, November 17. Tickets for the deliciously delightful WAITRESS and the rocking and rollicking SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL can be purchased online or over the phone beginning at 10 a.m.

Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team, this irresistible new hit WAITRESS features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy® nominee Sara Bareilles (“Brave,” “Love Song”), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam), choreography by Lorin Latarro (Les Dangereuse Liaisons, Waiting for Godot) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Hair, Pippin, Finding Neverland).

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly’s beloved film, WAITRESS tells the story of Jenna – a waitress and expert pie maker. Jenna dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town’s new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life. “It’s an empowering musical of the highest order!” raves the Chicago Tribune.  WAITRESS is a little slice of heaven!” says Entertainment Weekly and “a monumental contribution to Broadway!” according to Marie Claire.  Don’t miss this uplifting musical celebrating friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie. Performances of WAITRESS run March 5-10.

SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL opened on Broadway to rave reviews on Sunday, December 6, 2015. This Ben Brantley New York Times ‘Critics’ Pick’ is “an inspiring jolt of energy and mad skillz,” raves Jesse Oxfeld of Entertainment Weekly. And in his four-star Critics’ Pick review, Time Out’s David Cote proclaimed, “School’s IN – forever!” SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL was nominated for four 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Lloyd Webber and Slater), Best Book (Fellowes), and Best Leading Actor in a Musical, and Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Alex Brightman). SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL also won the 2017 Oliver Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music.

Based on the hit film, SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL is a hilarious new musical that follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. While teaching these pintsized prodigies what it means to truly rock, Dewey falls for the school’s beautiful, but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within. Performances of SCHOOL OF ROCK – THE MUSICAL run March 27-31.

Kravis On Broadway is sponsored by Cynthia Friedman, Ann and Robert Fromer, and Martin and Toni Sosnoff. Tickets for WAITRESS start at $29. Tickets for SCHOOL OF ROCK start at $28.
