Wellington Offers “Learn to Row Day”

Learn how to conquer the waves as the Florida Rowing Center hosts “Learn How to Row Day” on Saturday, March 24th at Lake Wellington. This free event takes place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and includes an introductory skulling class for residents ages 12 years and older. Be sure to wear comfortable but not baggy clothing and arrive at the dock behind the Wellington Community Center by 2:45 pm.

Rowing is one of the oldest Olympic sports and is one of only a handful of low impact sports that exercises all major muscle groups. Rowing has also been shown to improve heart health and muscular strength.

Participants are required to register in advance by visiting the Wellington Community Center located at 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard. This free lesson is limited to only 10 participants, so register early!
