2012 Heroes in Medicine Awards: Heroes of the Year Announced

 

West Palm Beach (May 10, 2012) – Palm Beach County Medical Society Services is proud to announce the 2012 Heroes of the Year from the 9th Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards held on May 9th:

 

Physician Local/National Hero: Jose F. Arrascue, MD, South Palm Beach Nephrology

Physician International Hero: Darrin Frye, MD, US Army Reserve & Frye Medical Group

Community Outreach Hero: Jerome Goodman, PhD, Mental Health Association, Peer Place Support Center

Health Care Provider Hero: Susan Swiderski, RN, West Boca Medical Center

Bruce Rendina Professional Hero: Constance Berry, Caridad Center

Student Heroes: Brianna Hollins, Palm Beach Lakes Community High School & Trevor Raborn, Florida Atlantic University & South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute

 

The following three physicians were also honored and received special awards:

 

Lifetime Achievement Award: Richard F. Auclair, MD

Exceptional Leader Award: James J. Byrnes, MD

Excellence in Medical Education Award: Daniel Lichtstein, MD
