Fear is stretched
Far and wide.
” monsters under the bed”.
Trees that look like ghosts.
Parents passing away
Childhood awakened fear; brought to
A warped threshold.
Years passed
Adolescence
trenched
through …
Monsters replaced with popularity and clothing.
Trees replaced by troubling technology.
Adulthood, an unwanted , mixed up
Intruder.
A new face in the mirror.
Fresh new fear
Dull skin,
Slumped body
A reunion with
The monsters under our beds.
