MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED JUNIOR LEAGUE OF THE PALM BEACHES MEMBERS TAKE PART IN DAY OF IMPACT

9 local nonprofits impacted with an entire day of service in honor of JLPB’s 80th Anniversary

(West Palm Beach, FL.) — To celebrate 80 years of voluntarism, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches (JLPB) recently hosted a Day of Impact, an entire day of service focusing on completing one day, large and small projects for nonprofits throughout Palm Beach County. JLPB assisted nonprofit partners that they have worked with for many years, some of which were founded by the 700+ women member organization.

“I am so proud to stand alongside these women who are dedicated to improving our community and making a difference to help others, not just during our Day of Impact, but every day,” said Julie Rudolph, President of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches. “We lead, we educate and we train all while making our community a better place to live, work, play and volunteer. Our League is always looking for like-minded women who have a passion for improving our community. Our members are the heart and soul of our organization.”

JLPB sent volunteers to 9 community partners with 25 volunteer shifts for JLPB members from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. simultaneously throughout the county. More than 100 volunteers and nearly 300 service hours were provided as part of this one day initiative.

Volunteers completed beach cleanups, gleaned produce, packed period supply packages, refreshed outdoor spaces and wrote letters to men and women in the armed forces overseas.  JLPB worked with Loggerhead Marinelife Center, CROS Ministries, South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, Quantum House and many others to complete this Day of Impact.
