Rotary’s PARTY in the Park 2!!

A Caribbean Carnival Fiesta

The Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club will stage a Caribbean Carnival Fiesta on Sunday, November 22, 2009, from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. The venue will be the Micanopy Pavilion, Okeeheelee Park on Forest Hill Boulevard, in West Palm Beach.

This will be a full-day celebration, with an emphasis on highlighting the different cultures, ethnicities, arts and customs of the countries of the Caribbean, along with those of Latin America and other cultural diversities found in Palm Beach County.

Activities will include non-stop music, cultural displays and attractions from the islands of the Caribbean, along with dance displays from the South Florida area. There will be a Parade of Masquerade Bands featuring Caribbean costumes.

This is an important annual celebration hosted by the Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club. The sole aim is to raise money to enable the Rotary Club to continue their service, not only to the local community, but also to the national and international communities. Last year, we were able to give scholarships to graduating High School students to help them with college expenses, send badly needed financial aid to the hurricane victims of Texas and Haiti, provide Thanksgiving Dinners to over three hundred needy community members, provide financial assistance to Pregnant and Addicted mothers (PANDA), and help stock the Food Pantry at a local church. This year, due to the bad economic climate, we will be providing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to needy families..
