Steeplechase 2009
On behalf of the Wellington Equestrian Partners (WEP), we are pleased to welcome you to the second annual Suncast Palm Beach Steeplechase on Saturday, November 28th. We are thrilled to host the National Steeplechase Association’s Finals for 2009 at “The Stadium” venue, part of The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. We are confident that the day will be filled with top-level competition. In addition to the race card there will be exciting entertainment and a variety of hospitality options that will make your day most enjoyable and certainly one you and your guests will remember.
The facility had been dormant for a number of years and we are now embarking on the initial phases of a multi-million dollar investment which will bring this historical venue to life once again. Several community friendly equestrian events have been held since then and we look forward to hosting many more in the future. “The Stadium” serves as a gateway to Wellington’s 8,000 acre domain. The equestrian character of Wellington is unique to the area and one that makes Wellington one of the most attractive places to live in the world. By hosting diverse events that are competitive, fun and interactive we hope to continue to promote the community involvement and enthusiasm in the equestrian way of life.
Having experienced a number of steeplechase events over the years, we have been impressed not only with the excitement of the races but also with the overwhelming feeling of camaraderie. Race day provides a rare opportunity to come together with family, friends, and colleagues and share day of sport in a beautiful setting. We are truly fortunate to able to be host the second annual Suncast Palm Beach Steeplechase during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and the start of the 2009 holiday season. Indeed, a time for families, friends and sharing.
New for 2009, we are hosting the Suncast Palm Beach Steeplechase Welcome Party Friday evening on Nov. 27th at the Player’s Club.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet the “Stars” of Saturday’s Steeplechase Event, the owners, trainers and jockeys. The Welcome Party features a cocktail party, gourmet buffet and a FEI World Cup Qualifier jumping competition. Tickets are available online at www.palmbeachsteeplechase.com.
As Steeplechase is long-standing tradition in many communities, it is our hope that the Suncast Palm Beach Steeplechase becomes your new Wellington Thanksgiving tradition.
