Wellington Village Councilwoman Anne Gerwig has filed to run for Mayor. Gerwig, served on the Village Council since 2010, is challenging Mayor Bob Margolis. Gerwig currently serves as a member of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, the Palm Beach County League of Cities Education Committee, the Palm Beach County Citizens Advisory Council on Health and Human Services, the Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County and the Wellington Landings Middle School Student Advisory Committee (SAC). Gerwig also serves as an Alternate Member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).
Gerwig is a member of the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and the Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
Gerwig is a former board member of the Binks Forest Elementary School PTA and a former business partner of the Binks Forest Elementary School Advisory Council. Gerwig served as a community build volunteer for the Tiger Shark Cove and Scott’s Place Playgrounds. Gerwig is also the former Area Coordinator for the MOMS Club of Wellington, Southeastern Florida District.
Gerwig is a 47 year resident of Palm Beach County and a 25 year resident of Wellington. She and her husband, Alan, have three children, Jessica, Dane and Luke.

“I am running for Mayor because I want to bring civility and thoughtful decision making back to our council. Wellington is a world class community and deserves leadership that listens to our community, is responsive and works for the best interests of all our residents, said Gerwig.”
