New Festival gives Northwood a Latin Twist

WEST PALM BEACH – On Saturday, Oct. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County will transform West Palm Beach’s Northwood Village into an outdoor display of Latin-inspired cuisine and culture during the inaugural Latin American Food & Wine Festival. The festival will feature mouthwatering menu items from more than 10 local restaurants and savory wine selections originating from Argentina, Chile and Spain – to name a few.

Popular Hispanic eateries like Havana, Casa Cuba, Sarussi Café and La Reina will provide a few of their menu favorites while other participating restaurants like Talay Thai and Café Centro will put a Latin twist on signature menu items in the spirit of the festival. Attendees will also enjoy live entertainment from two Hispanic bands and Hispanic artwork.

“Many people don’t realize that you don’t have to be Hispanic to join our Chamber,” said Andre Varona, president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. “We are very excited to have a diverse array of restaurants participate in this festival and exemplify what the Chamber is all about – connecting our County’s large, influential Hispanic population with the non-Hispanic community.”

The Latin American Food & Wine Festival is produced by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and sponsored by Northwood Village and Mass Mutual. Tickets are $25 per person and include a customized wine glass. For more information, or to purchase tickets call (561) 832-1986.
