Arthritis Foundation Supporters Meet to Kick Arthritis to the Curb!
The 2012 Arthritis Walk Kick-off Party, held at the Arthritis Foundation headquarters in West Palm Beach, on September 13, was a resounding success. Community leaders, physicians, healthcare organizations, and local corporations came together for a wine social, with delectable tapas provided by On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Silver Lining Catering and Someone’s In the Kitchen Catering, to learn about the Arthritis Foundation’s programs and services, and to kick off the fundraising activities for the 2012 Arthritis Walk.
The Kick-off event included motivational presentations by the 2012 Medical Honorees, Dr. Dana Desser and Dr. Brett Hutton, and the Junior Honorees, Leeah Rath and Marisa Salvador, who live with Juvenile Arthritis.
The 2012 Arthritis Walk & Arff-ritis Dog Walk is being held on November 10, at John Prince Park(Center Drive Pavilion), Lake Worth. Registration-8 am; Walk begins-9 am. Funds raised by this event will support local programs, clinics for the medically indigent, summer camps for children with arthritis, health education and research.
