April, 2010 – Social Media Marketing for Wellington area Businesses

0
IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
March 29th, 2010

The Wellington Chamber of Commerce and Stacie Chalmers Inbound Marketing Solutions, a Wellington based Marketing Consultant, recently presented the importance of Social Media Marketing to local businesses.

“We’ve had a lot of our members ask about social media, they know they need to start adding social media to their marketing mix, but it’s difficult to know where to start and what to do. The purpose of this seminar was to present the basics of social media to our members so they could have a better understanding of why social media is so important for business, what business strategies it can be used for, how to get started and what to do.” Says Wellington Chamber Executive Director, Michela Perillo-Green

The feedback from attendees was positive and well received, but there seems to be a hunger amongst business owners to learn more about social media. To meet this need the Wellington Chamber and Stacie Chalmers Inbound Marketing Solutions are in the process of finalizing a range of social media marketing workshops and seminars for local business owners. These workshops and seminars will focus on helping business owners and marketers learn how to attract more, qualified visitors to their website through search engine marketing and social media marketing and how to convert more of this traffic to leads and customers.

“The internet and social media have changed the way we communicate and have introduced a new era in marketing. The businesses that understand that they too must change and are willing to relearn marketing will position themselves ahead of the competition.” says Stacie Chalmers, Inbound Marketing Solutions.  “It’s more than just understanding social media, there’s a change in psychology, social media puts the consumer in control. And this why we say ‘relearn’ marketing.”

If you’re a local business owner and would like to know about the Chamber’s upcoming marketing workshops please register your interest here.

If you would like to learn how to attract prospects to your business, and convert more leads to customers visit Inbound Marketing Solutions to schedule a one on one consulting call with Stacie Chalmers.
