EAU PALM BEACH RESORT & SPA LAUNCHES PARTNERSHIP WITH ICONIC POTTER, DESIGNER AND AUTHOR JONATHAN ADLER FOR COMPLETE REENVISIONING OF GUEST ROOMS
New guest rooms channel Palm Beach’s fun-loving chic spirit with
modern touches for today’s new-fashioned luxury guests
PALM BEACH, Fla. (EMBARGOED UNTIL November 14, 2014) – Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa celebrates the next phase of its new fashioned Palm Beach luxury philosophy by partnering with Jonathan Adler to redefine the guest experience with rooms full of elegant surprises, including his signature accents to add style, craft, and joy to the lives of resort guests. Offering a new style of effortless living on seven chic acres of oceanfront, lush tropical gardens and a whimsical twist on luxury inspired by its namesake Eau Spa, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa offers an experience that is at once exciting and sensual, refined and elegant and thoughtfully appointed for leisure guests, families and business travelers alike. The complete redesign of the 309 guest rooms, suites and corridors will be completed in time for the winter 2015 season.
“As Simon Lewis, Eau Palm Beach’s owner, and I created and grew the Eau Palm Beach ‘miles away from mainstream’ experience, we knew reaching out to Jonathan Adler was the perfect and most natural next step to create designs that are reminiscent of classic Palm Beach with touches that make people happy,” said Ayelet Rahav, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa Creative Director. “More than ever, today’s vacationers are multi-generational families with incredibly diverse backgrounds and life experiences—and we wanted our room experience to give them a joyful retreat where they can create their own new memories together.”
Each room channels a “Capri meets Santorini meets Palm Beach” vibe. The rooms feature new exclusive furnishings designed by Adler, one-of-a kind art commissions by notable artists Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson, Leila Jeffries and Jenna Snyder-Phillips, classic photographs by Slim Aarons and design details that incorporate the classic Chinoiserie-inspired décor and color combinations of vintage Palm Beach.
“In creating this room experience, I wanted the Eau Palm Beach guest to feel as if they truly ‘arrived’ upon walking into their room. Palm Beach has an incredible combination of glamour, fantasy and luxury and the new rooms really capture that vibe,” said Jonathan Adler. “By designing guest rooms with a fresh, nautical color palette and pops of color and unexpected surprises, I’ve created a luxurious and dreamy experience for everyone to enjoy a fancy vacation.”
Capri meets Santorini meets Palm Beach – The color palette is inspired by the bright blues of Capri, the white of Santorini rooftops and the classic nautical Palm Beach vibe, with crisp blue valences over balcony doors and bright white and chrome accents. A pop of yellow brings the sunshine in.
A setting for everything from Meetings to Cocktails – Furnishings have been designed to transition from business meetings to impromptu cocktail soirees with ease. Round tables facilitate everything from board meetings to family brunches, all with the style of the sea in mind.
Seamless indoor and outdoor living – All of the resort’s 309 rooms feature ocean views, and the new designs incorporate irreverence into the balcony and cabana spaces that adjoin each room. New elements include hanging chairs with a lacquered bamboo look, as well as an understatedly groovy wrought iron “peace” and “love” dining set.
Exclusive artwork commissioned by Jonathan Adler – The design and fashion worlds collide with a nod to the playfulness of Palm Beach with exclusive artwork from Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson, Leila Jeffries and Jenna Snyder-Phillips.
Classic Palm Beach made modern – Photography from Slim Aarons sets the tone for Adler’s irreverent yet respectful take on Palm Beach style. Bamboo wallpaper, Chinoiserie console tables and Sputnik- light fixtures salute the rich design history of the area.
Humor-filled surprises – Desks are bedecked with tassels (the “earrings of the home,” per Jonathan Adler) and bathrooms include hidden-jewel box nooks with bright, bold pops of color. No moment in the rooms is without a touch that makes guests chuckle and relax.

(Palm Beach, Fla.) Artists and arts-enthusiasts gathered under the stars recently, for a special pre-party cocktail party to kick-off the “Greatest Little Party on Earth” – the Center for Creative Education’s second annual “Circus at the Center.” At the kickoff, at Trevini’s Ristorante in Palm Beach, there was excited chatter from last year’s party goers, many curious about this year’s planned theatrics. Event ringmaster and chair Bruce Helander, along with co-chairs Cheryl Gowdy and Vicki Halmos, shared details about the upcoming benefit, known for its over-the-top décor and exciting entertainment, with more than 40 VIP guests.
On Saturday, December 6, 2014 the Center’s NorthwoodVillage location will be transformed into the “Center Ring,” through the inspiration of designer extraordinaire, Bruce Sutka. This year’s event also marks the beginning of the Center for Creative Education’s 20th anniversary in the community. The fun, casual party captures the zany excitement of being a little kid under the big top. “Circus at the Center” invites guests to dress in, “circus chic,” enjoy a night of great food, live music, entertainment and dancing.

“Last year’s inaugural ‘Circus at the Center’ was a huge success,” said Helander. “But we know this year will be even better, as we have so much more to celebrate – 20 years of helping children in our local community. ‘Circus at the Center’ is fun and exciting, but most importantly it raises necessary funds for the Center for Creative Education, which serves nearly 13,000 children annually. We invite you to enjoy the exciting entertainment, including circus-themed performers, and an amazing cabaret-style performance by the cast of a Broadway-bound musical.”
This year’s featured musical is “Tuck Everlasting,” adapted from the award-winning 1975 novel by Natalie Babbitt. Under the helmsmanship of director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw (“Book of Mormon” and “Aladdin”), the world-premiere production of “Tuck” will open at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta in February 2015. Members of the cast and creative team will give Circus guests a ‘sneak peak’ at this exciting new musical during the CCE fundraiser.
The three co-chairmen, along with honorary co-chairs and mother-daughter duo Donna Long and Wendy Fritz, are leading a host committee which includes Maribel Alvarez, Carl Bartel, Harry and Gigi Benson, Beau and Jackie Breckenridge, Peter Burrus, Susie Dwinell, Camila Helander, Claudia Helander, Vicki and Chris Kellogg, Sabra Kirkpatrick, Margaret Luce, Pamela Miller, Morgan O’Connor, Pamela O’Connor, Jim Pappas, Aeyung Park de Melo, Pam Paton, Jillian Percella, Lisa Rowan, Tyler Sargent, Linda Soper, Carol Anne and John Stiglmeier, Bruce Sutka, Butch and Melinda Trucks, Michele Vogel and Lynne Wise Smith.
“We are grateful to all our chairs, along with their incredible committee, for planning such an amazing fundraiser,” said CEO, Robert Hamon. “Their efforts will ensure that the kickoff of our 20th anniversary is a huge success. Our work to educate local children through the arts is so important and we’re thrilled with the opportunity to spotlight it with this fun event. And a very special thank you to Cheryl Gowdy, longtime supporter of CCE, for generously underwriting our kickoff event.”
Sponsors for Circus include Altima International, Palm Beach Society, Wilmington Trust, Field of Greens, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Provident Jewelry.
The Center for Creative Education works with children from low income neighborhoods, using the arts as a vehicle to help them understand science, math, literacy and other areas of learning. CCE merges art with academics to bring learning to life, by engaging children in hands-on, project-based education.
Last year, CCE provided classes free of charge to 12,500 children in more than 50 school sites all over Palm BeachCounty, providing after-school and in school programming to many disadvantaged students considered “at risk.” In addition, they are hired by private and independent schools to provide arts integrated instruction.
Research shows that arts-integrated programs like those offered by the Center for Creative Education improve a child’s learning potential and academic performance; and that increases their overall enthusiasm about school. Working on projects with CCE artists also build children’s self-esteem and encourage cooperation, team-building and creative thinking.
The Center for Creative Education is a not-for-profit 501(C) (3) organization, relying on grants and donations from private individuals and community organizations to support its work with the children.
Tickets to the Circus at the Center event are $300 for individuals and $550 for a couple. Tables of 10 are available for $2,750. Tickets and sponsorships are available online now at www.cceflorida.org. For more information please call 561-805-9927.

Gown Shopping – Wedding Planning – Effects of Stress
Could Putting the Pieces Together Be Killing You?
According to the American Institute of Stress, stress in daily life: puts Marriage at the top of the list. Although marriage is considered a positive connotation of stress, nonetheless, it is stress!
Bacio Bacio Bridal & Formal Wear Boutique, not only will we take stress out of the bridal gown shopping experience but we have a team of trusted professionals who will make your wedding day stress free!
Remember, when you look beautiful – you feel better. When you are healthy and happy, you are even more beautiful…a beautiful cycle, a beautiful bride you shall be!
From your first experience, whether by phone or email, we strive to gather as much information to help move the process in a positive and helpful direction.
When you make your appointment, don’t be shy to share your concerns or fears. We have a team of caring women who provide strong emotional and professional support – a powerful stress buster from the start! For instance, we hear “I want to hide my arms,” or “I hate my hips.” We will work together to get to the root of those feelings and find solutions. Once you identify the sources of stress, we try our best to reduce their impact. There is a procedure we like to follow. As you know, when we have a plan of attack and trust our assistants, they reduce feelings of helplessness and provide a sense of control over the problem.
The team at Bacio Bacio in Wellington, located in Kobosko’s Crossing.
Before you begin shopping for a gown, try to decide on a “feel” or style for your wedding. When the Bacio Bacio Bridal team is planning a styled photo shoot for a magazine or editorial purposes, we look for inspiration. We seek out new unique ideas, classic traditions, trend setters’ suggestions and mix those with our own vision. From there we develop an “inspiration board.” If you have never created one, it’s simply a cut & paste of photos of things you love – flowers, dresses or the dream setting. Sometimes, seeing the smallest details, we can help you figure out your own style. Also try to incorporate things that reflect you and your future husbands own personality and passions. After all your wedding is a celebration of your love to each other and show casing what makes your relationship unique is not only a sentimental gesture to each other but really allows family and guests to enjoy a more involved personal experience.
When you are ready to begin shopping for your dream gown it is helpful to bring photos or maybe your inspirational ideas to the appointment. That is where our consultants develop an insight of your style and personality. Please remember to keep an open mind. Sometimes what appeals to us happens to be very different than our own body types. Each person has a unique physique where a certain silhouette will complement and enhance. Our job is to find that gown and match it to the vision of your wedding day.
When involving friends and family in on your dress shopping experience, it is beneficial to aim to keep your group towards the smaller side. Include only those whose thoughts and opinions you truly value. Large parties can be fun, but at the same time the feedback from many different viewpoints and personalities can clash, adding stress to the experience.
Remember that this is YOUR special time and it is only important that YOU feel like a bride without having to worry about people pleasing or anyone else’s vision for your day.
Armed with the right attitude, an open mind and a little additional insight (perhaps from this article), we are certain you can fulfill your dream wedding involving as minimal stress as possible.
