“Traditions” Performs “Let There Be Peace on Earth”
The beautiful, annual Wellington peace ceremony took place at the Wellington Rotary Peace Park at 6pm on September 21st. Dr. Wes Boughner of the Wellington Rotary Club, Larry Kemp, Mayor Darrell Bowen and many others presented this year’s peace awards. In a ceremony that started off with the color guard, taps and the U.N. Day of Peace Proclamation, many local participants came together, young and old, to take a few moments in honor of peace. The talented group “Traditions” at Palm Beach Central High School, conducted by Scott Houchins, sang “Let There Be Peace on Earth” (above) and “We Are The World.”
