Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel and you have Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, Broadway’s most intriguing, most thrilling, most riotous comedy smash! The mind-blowing cast plays over 150 characters in this fast-paced tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily entertaining adventure. Using ingenious theatrical invention, this production is an engaging, fast-paced whodunit that celebrates the magic of theater.

 

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

November 29-December 18

 

This colorful retelling of the story of Joseph, his coat of many colors and his amazing ability to interpret dreams is a musical blockbuster of Biblical proportions! Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s award-winning musical parable features a delightful array of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock ‘n’ roll, entertaining your entire family.

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome! Take your seat for this energetic, politically charged, seductive, and daring Tony-award winning production that is ranked among the greatest American musicals. Featuring a memorable Kander and Ebb score, Cabaret is set amid the decadence of 1929 Weimar Germany’s netherworld and follows the unlikely romance between writer Cliff Bradshaw and performer Sally Bowles.

This thrilling new American play and winner of the 2010 Tony Award, Red, is a provocative portrait of Abstract expressionist, Mark Rothko, as he works feverishly in his studio on the Bowery to complete the biggest commission in the history of modern art. When his assistant challenges his ambition, Rothko is faced with the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also be his undoing.

 

Hello, Dolly!

March 13-April 1

 

Full of Jerry Herman’s memorable songs including: “Put On Your Sunday Clothes,” “Before the Parade Passes By” and “It Only Takes a Moment,” Hello, Dolly! takes us on a whirlwind race around New York at the turn of the twentieth century as we follow the adventures of America’s most beloved matchmaker, Dolly Levi! This classic Tony Award-winning musical is a true treasure and will be sure to warm your heart.

2011/12 Limited Engagements

In addition to the theatre’s season shows, the theatre will also offer a stellar series of outstanding concerts, plays, films and children’s shows. Highlights include the special limited engagement Spies: Movies vs. Reality, in which prominent espionage author and historian H. Keith Melton takes theatregoers inside Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps and compares its characters’ spy craft with that used by today’s spies. Other limited engagement shows include Steve Lippia’s ‘’Simply Sinatra’ and previously sold out shows, including Capitol Steps, Celtic Crossroads and John Pizzarelli Quartet.

Saturday, September 17 – Youth Artists’ Chair presents The Good Times are Killing Me
Under a new mentorship initiative at the Theatre, a team of high school students has been selected to create and produce the play “The Good Times are Killing Me,” a coming-of-age story about interracial friendship set in the 1960s. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Adults $20, students $15.

Sunday, October 9 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild presents the Glenn Miller Orchestra
One of the greatest bands of all time performing all of the hits “Moonlight Serenade,” “Steppin’ Out,” “In the Mood,” and many more! Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $40. Concert to benefit the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and its Conservatory of Performing Arts.

Saturday, October 22 – PNC Kids Korner Series presents Jigsaw Jones, the Case of the Class Clown
Theodore “Jigsaw” Jones, detective who is on the case to solve the mystery. Brimming with music, charm, and humor this show brings the popular chapter book series to life. Showtime is noon. All tickets $12. Produced by ArtsPower.

Monday, October 24 – Spy Series presents Spies: Movies vs. Reality
Publicly revealing secrets for the first time, prominent espionage author/historian H. Keith Melton takes you inside Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps and compares its characters’ spy craft with that used by today’s spies. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $25.

Monday, December 19 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Conservatory of Performing Arts presents Studio Showcase
Celebrate the Conservatory students’ hard work in acting, voice, and dance as they showcase their talents onstage. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students.

Tuesday, December 20 – Palm Beach Gardens Concert Band presents a Holiday Concert
In a joyous celebration of the holiday season, it’s your chance to hear popular and traditional Christmas and Hanukkah songs played by the full band, plus surprise performances by vocal and instrumental soloists. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $12.

Friday, December 30 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Conservatory of Performing Arts presents The Best of Broadway Musical Revue
The talented students from the Conservatory of Performing Arts present a musical revue including songs and scenes from “Brigadoon,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” and more! Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students.

Saturday, December 31 – Capitol Steps
Come along for the ride as they take a humorous look at some serious issues in an all new show to ring in the New Year. Showtimes are 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $50, $60 and $85 for special VIP seats with champagne toast and meet and greet.

Sunday, January 1 – Cabaret, the movie
Liza Minelli and Joel Grey star in the winner of eight Academy Awards® based on the hit Broadway musical. Showtime is 7 p.m. Free event; advanced tickets are required. Subject to change.

Monday, January 16 – Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class: A One Nun-sense musical event
From the creator of Nunsense, this all-new class is not to be missed. Sister is back to teach the audience how to put together their own cabaret act filled with humor and audience participation. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $30.

Sunday, January 22 – Chris MacDonald’s Memories of Elvis
Join us for a memorial tribute celebrating the life and music of Elvis Presley in honor of his 77th birthday. Showtime is 8 p.m. All tickets $45.

Friday, February 3 – Steve Lippia’s ‘’Simply Sinatra’
Exploring the songbook of Frank Sinatra backed by a 10 piece orchestra featuring all the hits such as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “I’ve Got the World on a String,” “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You” and more! Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $40.

Saturday, February 4 – PNC ids Korner Series presents Aesop’s Fables
Through lively storytelling full of fun and imagination, this is a perfect introduction to some of the world’s most cherished stories and to the magic of live theatre! Showtime is noon. All tickets $12. Produced by Eckerd Theatre Company.

Saturday, February 4 – The Second City: Laugh Out Loud Tour
From the company that launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, and more, comes the next generation of the comedy world’s best and brightest in an evening of hilarious sketch comedy and Second City’s trademark improvisation. Showtime is 8 p.m. All tickets $35.

Monday, February 13 – Love Letters – To Benefit the Maltz Jupiter Theatre
This play centers on just two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepiece Ladd III. Sitting side by side, they read correspondence that has passed between them throughout their separated lives, including their hopes and ambitions and dreams and disappointments in love letters. Proceeds will go the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $50.

Monday, February 27 – Hello, Dolly! The Movie
A film adaptation of the beloved musical starring Barbara Streisand as Dolly Levi. Showtime is 7 p.m. Free event; advanced tickets are required. Subject to change.

Thursday, March 1 – Arias: An Evening with Palm Beach Opera
Come and enjoy a special concert featuring Palm Beach Opera’s talented Young Artists singing favorite opera arias and duets from Puccini, Verdi and more! Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $25.

Friday, March 2 – Celtic Crossroads
In an explosive show filled with traditional Irish music, Irish dancers defy laws of speed and gravity, while musicians swap instruments before your eyes. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $40.

Sunday, March 4 – Yesterday: a Tribute to the Beatles
Relive one of the most influential rock groups in the history of pop music with a tribute to the Beatles, performed in an unforgettable show featuring all their hits! Showtime is 8 p.m. All tickets $40.

Sunday, March 25 – John Pizzarelli Quartet
Internationally known for classic standards, late-night ballads, and the cool jazz flavor he brings to his performances, John Pizzarelli continues to entertain audiences without sacrificing his commitment to a high level of musicianship and artistic achievement. Showtime is 8 p.m. All tickets $50.

Monday, March 26 – Juke Box Series presents Jay and The Americans
The ’60s pop legends sing “This Magic Moment” and other hit songs, including “She Cried,” “Only in America,” “Come a Little Bit Closer,” “Tonight” and “Cara Mia.” Showtime is 7:30 p.m. All tickets $50; Pre-show meet and greet tickets $65.

Friday, May 4 – PNC Kids Korner Series presents Henry and Mudge
Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry and his great big canine friend, Mudge, with whom he shares all kinds of adventures! Showtime is 6 p.m. All tickets $12. Produced by TheatreWorksUSA.

Friday, May 18, through Sunday, May 20 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Conservatory of Performing Arts presents Pippin
Once upon a time, the young prince Pippin longed to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. Little did he know he would find it in the simple pleasures of home and family. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Adults $20, students $15.

Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Conservatory of Performing Arts presents Bye Bye Birdie
One of the most captivating musical shows of our time!  The story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. Featuring such favorites as “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” and “Put on a Happy Face,” this show is tops in imagination and frivolity. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Adults $20, students $15.

Friday, July 27, and Saturday, July 28 – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Conservatory of Performing Arts presents Willy Wonka Jr.
Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life with a memorable score featuring “The Candy Man,” “Pure Imagination,” “Oompa Loompa” and ”I Want it Now.” Showtime is 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Adults $20, students $15.
