Grandma’s Place is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that is an emergency shelter for 16 children, from the age of birth to 12, who have been removed from their homes by the Dept. of Children & Families due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

Soraya Rivera-Moya, ED of RMHC of S. Florida said “We improve the health and well-being of children directly through our programs and also by working with non-profit organizations around the world that are making an immediate, positive impact on children who need it most. Grants to other organizations, like Grandma’s Place, extend the reach and impact of RMHC and move donation dollars quickly through to areas in their time of need.”

Sally Chester R.N., a Board Member of Grandma’s Place, accepted the check on behalf of the 130+ children that the shelter serves on an annual basis and said “Grandma’s Place is honored to be one of RMHC new grant recipients.  We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with RMHC of S. Florida and the McDonald’s area owner/operators”.
