March, 2016- Call To Artists “7th Annual PEEPS Show”

(For those of you who are new to this “Call”- PEEPS are those marshmallow candies found yearly at Easter) Opening Reception- Friday, March 18 

Event Ends Wednesday, April 6

Entries must be in gallery by Wednesday, March 16

 Exhibit is limited to as many artists who enter. Each artist may enter two PEEPS works (made with real PEEPS.) In addition, you may enter one work (2D or 3D) related to PEEPS, than you can then price for sale.

 GUIDELINES

“7th Annual PEEPS Show”

For the last 7 years we have produced a PEEPs Show at the Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery, that has draw thousands of visitors. For the last two years we had our guests vote on their favorite exhibits. 1600 visitors voted each year.

 On the first day of the exhibit we have official judges awarding prizes to their top five favorites, First prize is $100. The next four prizes are gift bags of goodies provided by the PEEPS company.

 This show is a FUN event. We welcome artists and artist want-to-be’s who love Peeps. We welcome all schools throughout the county to enter works of their students and/or teachers. (No charge for children and teens entering the exhibit)

We welcome works from artists that are PEEPS related, to sell. There are PEEPS item collectors everywhere. (Affordability would make the sale a real possibility)

 Open to 2D and 3D Artists in all mediums.

Artists may enter up to 2 pieces of PEEPS work, and one, related to PEEPS, for sale.

    • A completed application form, and an entry fee of $25.00 must be received by deadline of Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
    • Entry fee is non-refundable. It may be paid by charge card in the gallery, or       by check made payable to Flamingo Clay Studio.
    • If your works are completed two weeks prior to the exhibit, please forward the images so we can use them as part of our publicity.

    • If you bring in a (non-edible) PEEPS work for sale, please include title and price. (These works will only be accepted if your first exhibit is a regular PEEPS works.
    • PEEPS Art Work will be dropped off on Wednesday, March 16 from 1pm to 6pm.  Drop off Art Work at CLAY GLASS METAL STONE Gallery, 15 South J Street , Lake Worth. 
    • Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery will be open Monday through Sunday for the duration of the exhibit.  We will promote the exhibit through newspaper advertising and email Art Cards.
    • Please make sure that your submission includes your name, contact e-mail address, phone number and your web site address if you have one. Thank you

 At the end of the exhibit, the candy PEEPS exhibits will be discarded, unless you pick them up on the last day of the show. All non-edible works should be picked up the last day of the show. The gallery will not be responsible for works left after that date.

We have a PEEPS blog with most of our PEEPS Exhibits from past years. Please feel free to use it as reference. The PEEPS company accesses this blog when they do their national publicity for the many PEEPS shows around the country.
