February, 2016- CENTRAL PALM BEACH COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES FINALISTS FOR THE 5TH ANNUAL WOMEN OF WORTH (WOW) AWARD LUNCHEON

PALM BEACH, FL – The Central Palm Beach County Community Foundation is hosting its 5th Annual Women of Worth Award Luncheon, presented by Mercantil Commercebank. The event will be held at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
This year’s Guest Speaker is Rachel Docekal, Managing Partner for the Lyrae Group, LLC and former CEO of the Hanley Center Foundation. Named one of South Florida Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Women of 2012, Rachel also finds time to give back to her community and its surrounding areas by volunteering.

Registration and networking will take place from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. During this time, a Chinese Auction will be held as part of a fundraising effort for the Foundation. Items have been graciously donated by the Mall at Wellington Green, Whole Foods, Wine Cellars, and the Troika Group, all of which have a retail value of $500 and above. The event will begin promptly at 12 p.m. and winners will be announced during the course of the program.

Rachelle Crain, Committee Chair for the Women of Worth Committee said, “I am thrilled to be chairing The Women of Worth Awards on behalf of the Central Palm Beach County Community Foundation. It’s been exciting to work with the WOW Committee, Mercantil Commercebank, and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach to present an event that is worthy of these outstanding women.”

The finalists in the Corporate Category include: Hallie Agostinelli, BNI- Palm Beach; Natalia Alvaraz, Sabadell Bank & Trust; Jennifer Berthiaume, Lion Country Safari; Ileana Carlisle, Biotest Pharmaceuticals; Robbin Lee, Wellington Regional Medical Center; and Liz Quirantes, WPEC CBS12.

The finalists for the Education Category include: Marcia Andrews, School Board of Palm Beach County, District 6; Enid Cochran, Pahokee High School; Diane Howard, Crossroads Academy; and Candace Tamposi, Sacred Heart School.

The finalists in the Entrepreneur Category include: Claudia Bartra, La Granja Restaurants; Annie Davis, Palm Beach Travel; Cynthia Heathcoe, Contemporary Living; Kimberly Leland, Print It Plus; and Shanon Lynn Materio, McMow Art Glass.

The finalists in the Non-Profit Category include: Claudia Barto, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast; Tami Donnally, EBC Ministries; Carolee Ellison, South Tech Vet Assistant Academy; Anne Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector Palm Beach County; Dr. Laurie George, United Way; Kim Kerr, Women in the Window International; Amy Mauser, American Red Cross- South Florida Region; Jaene Miranda, Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County; Deborah Morgan, Palm Beach Harvest, Inc.; Tina Phillips, Palm Beach Habilitation Center; and Penny Pompei, Palm Beach SCORE.

The finalists in the Young Professional Category include: Kelly Boudreau, Schumacher Family of Dealerships; Loverly Sheridan, Learning Excelling Applying Perserving (L.E.A.P.); and Sarah Shullman, Office of the Attorney General- West Palm Beach.
