Veteran’s Event-Five Flags Over Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

Nov. 6, 2021

9:30 am – 2:00 pm

Free for Veteran’s and their families! Join us first for a light breakfast, the presentation of colors, and singing of the National Anthem.  Josh Liller, Lighthouse Historian, will present a history of all 5 military branches active at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. A Special Keynote speaker will conclude the presentations. Veteran’s and their families are invited to climb the Lighthouse & experience some moving military pop-up exhibits throughout the grounds. All Veterans will leave with a token of our appreciation.

We’ll be joined by the Elliott Museum, Reverence Riders Veterans Motorcycle Association, Road to Victory Museum, Jensen Beach High School Jubilate Choir, Union Navy Civil War reenactors, WWII reenactors, US Coast Guard Aids-To-Navigation Team. Sponsor: Starbuck’s Fisherman’s Wharf-Jupiter

Come experience the Holiday Boat Parade in a brand-new way – from the grounds of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.  Enjoy food trucks, evening lighthouse climbs, music, holiday shopping from favorite local shops, and more!  Bring a toy to donate to Little Smiles and receive a $5 gift certificate to the Lighthouse Gift Shop.  Free parking, please bring your lawn chair or blanket, no coolers allowed

Climb to the top and take in the spectacular sunset views. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom.  Tour time approximately 60 minutes, guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to tour and if you are not fully vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask. Attendees receive a special gift from Tommy Bahama Restaurant.

Lighthouse Moonrise Tour

A howling good time and spectacular evening view of a full moon from the top of the Lighthouse! This adventure makes a fabulous date night too. Tour time approximately 60 minutes, guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to tour and if you are not fully vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask. Tours are limited and weather permitting. In the event of rain, the tour will be rescheduled. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 48” tall to climb the Lighthouse.

Twilight Yoga at the Light

Experience the serenity of Yoga with Mary Veal on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday.  Stay fit and calm the mind in this all-levels class where beginners are welcomed and encouraged! Bring a yoga mat & water bottle. If you are not fully vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask. Mats will be 6’ apart or more. Meet at the Museum 10 minutes prior to start time and Yogis must sign waiver. Twilight Yoga is weather dependent and yogis will be notified prior to any cancellation.

Lighthouse Story Time & Crafts for Kids              

10:30am-11:00am,

Join us under the shade of our Seminole Chickee Hut as we read exciting stories about lighthouse keepers, Florida history, and local plants & animals! This program is ideal for children aged 8 and under. Children receive a fun take-home craft activity, too.  Please bring a small towel or mat for your child, as well as a bottle of water! Please arrive 10 minutes prior for check-in. Gate closes/no admission after 10:40am.  If you have not been fully vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask.

This program is free & runs approximately 30 minutes. Story Time will be cancelled if there is inclement weather OR high heat.  Space is very limited – RSVP is required online by the Friday before program.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers climbing tours of the landmark 1860 lighthouse. Stroll the historic grounds with free downloadable smartphone apps in English, French or Spanish and visit our history Exhibits. You’ll find unique items for all ages in our Museum Gift Shop. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the 120-acre federally designated, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Hiking trails are located on the north and south side of Beach Road.
