So we all have a Smartphone, we’ve seen some advancements in Smart car technology but how about a Smart toilet… Yes you heard correctly. Now thanks to TOTO’s Neorest 750 you can have a fully automated self-cleaning smart toilet.

According to TOTO, it incorporates a variety of technologies to clean itself.

The clever commode relies on what they call Actilight technology, which blasts the toilet bowl with ultraviolet light, killing bugs, bacteria and helping it to remain non-stick.

The surface of the bowl is coated with a layer of titanium dioxide and zirconium, and is super-hydrophilic – attracting water droplets to its surface to create a thin film of water.

Elsewhere, it uses electrolysis to remove any waste from inside the bowl and the flush uses electrolysis.

The manufacturers claim the intelligent toilet may only need to be cleaned as little as once a year. However, bear in mind it is only able to clean itself on the inside. So users will still be responsible for any near misses on the exterior
