Florida City Government Week
The Village of Wellington will be participating in Florida City Government Week October 22-26, 2012. Florida City Government Week activities are being celebrated around the theme “My City: I’m Part of It, I’m Proud of It”.
City Government Week, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities (FLC), is designed to provide cities an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the many services they provide. The League is the official organization of the municipal governments in Florida, designed and established to meet and serve the needs of Florida’s municipalities and their citizens.
Events planned for the week include an Open House on Wednesday October 24th from 4pm to 7pm at Village Hall. During the Open House staff will showcase Wellington accomplishments and residents will have a chance to ask staff questions related to departmental operations. A tour of Village Hall will be offered at 6pm. Throughout the week Wellington residents will have an opportunity to engage with their local government. Twice a day questions will be posted online via Open Town Hall on our website. Residents are encouraged to respond and participate in the discussions with Village staff and each other.
