Nicole has been painting and creating her pop art in South Florida for 20 years. She graduated with a BFA in Studio Art from Florida Atlantic University and began creating her own unique style. Her paintings combine 60s mod fashion and style, comic, music and media tabloids and spinning them into a visual explosion of color against a black and white paper collage background.
She has always been fascinated with the outrageous headlines in tabloid magazines and the exploitation of celebrities and contrasts it with something beautiful in nature: something vibrant and inviting vs. dark and absurd. She often includes headlines and wording that exemplify her emotions as related to that experience. Nicole is constantly evolving and continues to experiment with her technique, beginning to use imagery from other sources, including old children’s books and vintage Life magazines .
She has exhibited at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, Continuum Annual Pop Up Art Exhibition, Boca Museum of Art Artist’s Guild and several other local galleries. Her most recent pieces being shown at Continuum 2016 depict the emotions we feel when falling in love, “Falling In” and further experiencing a deeper connection, “Falling Deeper”.
