On a very comfortable Saturday evening in front of a full house with standing room only in the International Ring, 40 pairs of riders and horses participated in the $385,000 Fidelity Investments CSI5* Grand Prix competition.

Only six went through the first-round clear (within the time limit and no knockdowns).

During the jump off three, all from Ireland, went through clear.

Darragh Kenny of Ireland riding Amsterdam 27 finished first and was rewarded with a check for $127,050.

Also from Ireland, Cian O’Connor aboard Maurice took home second place honors good for $77,000.

To round out to top three Irishman Jordan Coyle and For Gold received $57,250 for their efforts.

It really was the Irish SWEEPstakes.
