Join Hundreds of Equestrians in Giving Back at the Seventeenth Annual JustWorld Gala

WELLINGTON, FLORIDA – Nonprofit JustWorld International will be commemorating seventeen years of uniting the equestrian community to support and empower thousands of children around the world through education and nutrition programs. JustWorld invites guests to celebrate this collective change at the Annual JustWorld Gala, presented by Caryl Philips & Frank Zeiss and Ford’s Garage, on Friday, January 24, 2020, and continue to help make a difference in the lives of children in need.

The JustWorld Gala attracts more than 750 attendees, including the equestrian industry’s top riders, trainers, owners and supporters, as well as important members of the Palm Beach community. Hosted by Belle Herbe Farm, located at 3206 Old Hampton Drive in Wellington, the evening will host a series of fundraising events that will directly benefit JustWorld partner projects, including silent and live auctions. Guests will enjoy delicious catering, provided by Presenting Sponsor, Ford’s Garage. Ford’s Garage specializes in event catering and is generously donating and preparing all of the passed hors d’oeuvres and dinner for all guests of the JustWorld Gala.  The menu will feature Ford’s Garage specialties, including signature gourmet burgers, chicken, steak and vegetarian products with salads and light fare to please everyone. JustWorld is thrilled to welcome back Hospitality Sponsor Trophy Room, along with Wölffer Estate Vineyard and Tito’s Vodka. Pro athletes to make appearances at 2020 South Florida Fair

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — To tie into the South Florida Fair’s 2020 theme of “Play Ball. Play Fair!”, professional athletes have been invited to make appearances during the fair, January 17-February 2. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission has arranged for one current and one retired athlete from the NFL to sign autographs at the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation exhibit in the Expo East Theater from noon – 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 25.

Davon Godchaux

Davon Godchaux, the Miami Dolphins’s “Man of the Year,” and O.J. McDuffie, a former Miami Dolphins wide receiver, will meet and greet fans and sign autographs before departing to attend the youth football camp at Orange Bowl Field at Glades Pioneer Park.

Godchaux is a current player and starting defensive linemen for the Miami Dolphins. He has been nominated for the National Football League’s “Walter Payton Man of the Year” for his commitment toward serving the community.

O.J. McDuffie

McDuffie spent eight years with the Miami Dolphins and is regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the franchise’s history. He became known as Dan Marino’s favorite receiver during his formative years as a member of the Dolphins. His 415 career catches are fourth all-time in Dolphins history. In 1998, he caught 90 passes, leading the NFL in that category. He is the only Dolphin to achieve this feat.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announce a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show’s first performance (January 28) in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.  Forty (40) tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each.  The digital lottery will open at 11:00 AM on January 26 for tickets to the Tuesday, January 28 performance.  Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.

Tickets for HAMILTON are currently on sale.  Patrons are advised to check the official HAMILTON channels and kravis.org for late release seats which may become available at short notice.

 

HOW TO ENTER

  • Use the official app for HAMILTON, now available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store (http://hamiltonmusical.com/app).
  • You can also visit http://hamiltonmusical.com/lottery to register.
  • The lottery will open at 11:00 AM two days prior to the performance date and will close for entry at 9:00 AM the day prior to the performance.
  • Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM the day prior to the performance via email and SMS (if mobile number is provided).
  • No purchase or payment necessary to enter or participate.
  • Each winning entrant may purchase up to two (2) tickets.
  • Only one entry per person. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded.

January 2020 Programming

 

West Palm Beach, Fla. – The YMCA of the Palm Beaches commits to helping its community stick to their new year’s resolutions all 365 days of the year through its fun and educational programming.  According to ResearchGate, about half of all adults make New Year’s resolutions, however, fewer than 10% manage to keep them for more than a few months.  From health and fitness classes to celebrating its community’s diversity, the YMCA of the Palm Beaches fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for all ages in a safe and nurturing environment throughout the year.  YMCA of the Palm Beaches is located in the heart of Palm Beach County and has served the community since 1917.  Highlighted below are just some of the January programs-at-a-glance.  Plus, all community members will enjoy no joining fee the entire month of January.

MLK Multi-cultural Day of Play

Date: Monday, January 20

Time: 1 pm – 3 pm

Cost: Free and Open to the public

Join the Playground Legends at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches for its MLK Day of Play.  This event is in celebration of multicultural inclusiveness and a way to bring kids together from all walks of life.  Attendees will enjoy food trucks, games and sports.

Winterfest Preschool Open House

Cost: Free and Open to the public
